The ABPP Foundation was established in 2010 and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The primary purpose for which the Foundation was organized is to receive, administer, and expend charitable contributions to forward its mission which includes the support of ABPP specialty board certification through promotional activities that include scholarship awards, professional development opportunities, and educational programs.
The ABPP Foundation accepts donations in general, as well as those that may be designated for specific purposes, providing that those purposes are in keeping with the law and the organization’s intentions. If you would like to make a contribution designated for a specific purpose, please contact the ABPP Foundation through the ABPP central office (919) 537-8031 or ABPPFoundation@abpp.org.
Contributions via credit card may be made securely online here. Checks may be made payable to The ABPP Foundation and sent to 600 Market Street, Suite 300, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
Memorial Contributions have been designated in memory of:
Dr. Lynn Rehm - Designated to be used for enhancing opportunities for students of professional psychology.
Dr. James Besyner - Designated to be used for enhancing opportunities within the specialty of Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Eileen M. Gupton - Designated to be used to support the pursuit of board certification in Police & Public Safety Psychology, particularly by graduate students in psychology and early career psychologists.
Other Special Purpose Funds:
Kaslow Family Fund - The Kaslow Family Fund has been established to support scholarship (empirical, clinical) related to multicultural and/or international work with children, adolescents, adults and their families by early career psychologists (within 7 years of receipt of their doctoral degree) who are Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology. (Selection Committee is to be comprised of at least one member of the Kaslow family in conjunction with the ABPP Foundation Awards Committee).
Nezu Diversity Fund - Designated to be used for enhancing training, education, and professional development related to diversity.
